– What is the strangest thing that’s happened to you recently?
I went to the art supply store and spent less than $20. That has never happened before.– What song do you find yourself singing when no one else is around?
“Parents Just Don’t Understand” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince.
– What do you dream about when you’re asleep?
I don’t normally remember my dreams, but one was when my parents went away for a week’s vacation and left me the keys to their brand new Porsche 🙂– A lot of your artwork includes dogs. Why is that?I love dogs more than people. They have such pure hearts and they share love without condition. Having a dog, I laugh more and walk more. And she is a comfort; she knows my upset voice and when she hears it, she runs over to calm me down. It’s extraordinary and never fails to cheer me up.
-What do you think dogs dream about?
Food!!!– If your dog could actually speak for just 1/2 an hour what do you think you’d talk about?I think we’d have a rather inspired discussion about the merits of Jane Austen and her lasting impact on society.
– What is your dog’s name?
Her name is Bennet. After Miss Elizabeth Bennet of Pride and Prejudice. I really do love my Jane Austen.– If you were a crayon what color would you be?
Blue, it’s my favorite color.
-Now describe that color to someone who is blind.
It is the color that surrounds you when you go for a swim in the ocean.– Three things that people don’t know about you?
1 – I love doing accents. Collecting them is rather a hobby of mine (I said that with an accent. Can you tell?)
2 – I went to England for six months after college and worked at a pub. It was one of the best times in my life. That’s why a good chunk of my work has a British flair to it.
3 – In addition to art, I am a playwright. My husband Ridley and I just completed our third script and the play (a British pantomime) will be performed at the Burgdorff in January.– What do you enjoy most about living in Maplewood?
It’s a seriously fun, vibrant, supportive and creative community. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.I bought these two pieces from Chrissy a couple of years ago. Her work is so unique and fun- just like her. Follow Chrissy on Instagram here and Facebook here or email: chrissymcintyrevo@gmail.com.
